Myositis UK is a national charity for the inflammatory myopathies; Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis and Juvenile Dermatomyositis. Established in 1985 and Registered as a charity in 1987 Myositis UK works to inform, raise awareness and fundraise for medical research.
Myositis UK have set up this Myositis Community Area networked from their website for all interested in Myositis, in particular persons with the illness and their families so they can interact with each not just on the Boards in the Forums but on Personal Profiles as well.
Please do not use the Area or Forums within it to post messages for Myositis UK as we will not be constantly checking the boards, although we will be placing items in the News and Announcements Forum from time to time. To contact us (Myositis UK) please return back to our main website for contact details or email email@example.com
Please note that to use this Myositis Community Area you do not have to be a member of Myositis UK nor by using the Community Area do you become a member of Myositis UK. Membership to Myositis UK is a separate process and if you are not already a member and wish to become one please return to our main website for membership and complete the online form to request a Joining Pack.
Users of the previous forum embedded in our old website will be pleased to know that most posts have been archived. You can click here to view the archived posts, although you will not be able to reply to old posts or post new topics on the old forum.
This new Discussion Forum contains 6 boards to make it easier to access relevant posts.
Users can post to all boards with the exception of the news and announcements board.
We appreciate it may take some time for users to get used to the new Community Area. NING has recently updated from version 2.0 to version 3.0 and some features we were expecting for our launch have not yet been released, including online chat, private messaging, and searching. We will endeavour keep you informed as these features become available.
We have now uploaded a NING user guide. To view it, please click here.
